Danica Patrick is taking a while to reflect.
The former NASCAR driver, 38, recently started talking about her spiritual journey she went on during her tour in Egypt and shared a long post about what she learned on Instagram.
“Temples. I thought about that word a lot when I was in Egypt, ”wrote Patrick on Monday. “What kept on appearing in all my thoughts, meditations and in my innate knowledge…. the word is an analogy. For our inner temple. There are a million simple words and ideas to prove why YOUR inner temple is so important. “
“You don’t see things as they are, you see them as you are,” she continued.
In her post, the retired pilot noted remarkably that relationships are like “mirrors”.
“Your relationships are mirrors,” said Patrick. “We cannot receive what we do not believe. (I made that up now, but I’m sure I’m not the first.) We see all of life through our own personal lenses. What you are looking for is looking for you. You get what you think you deserve. When you change, the things you see change. Whether you think you can or cannot, you are right. “
Patrick then noted that she could continue “indefinitely” and advised her followers not to seek out a “structure or religious person” just to feel better.
“I could go on and on! So stop looking for a religious structure or person or home or a job or a city or a partner to make you feel better. Simply because it won’t work! I tried!” she wrote. “I would love to see temples here and now to cultivate our ability to build our internal temples. And to remember our magical abilities (supernatural power over natural forces). Last July, Patrick separated from Aaron Rodgers. The couple dated for two years. Rodgers has since been romantically involved with actress Shailene Woodley, with whom he recently engaged.
After the separation of Patrick and Rodgers, Patrick talked about what she expects from a potentially significant future and noted that “the next guy has a difficult job for him”.
“The next guy has a tough job for him because my intuition, my standards, my limits, my wants and needs are off the charts,” said Patrick during an appearance on “The Rachel Hollis Show”.
