Dangers await humans on Mars during the colonization of Elon Musk’s eyes

Science journalist Shannon Stirone said SpaceX founder Elon Musk “is absolutely in space” when it comes to “unreal” colonization of Mars and listed the myriad of ways the red planet can kill humans.

“You can choose between your blood boiling, you know, boiling like a can of soda, dying from having your muscles deteriorated, freezing to death. You can choose, you have many options,” said the author of the recent Atlantic article “Mars it’s a hellhole. ”

Musk said in December that he remains “highly confident” that SpaceX will land humans on Mars by 2026, adding that it is an achievable goal “six years from now”.

“The important thing is to establish Mars as a self-sustaining civilization,” said Musk in a chat at the Clubhouse this year, according to CNET.

Stirone told CNBC’s “The News with Shepard Smith” that the human desire to go to the red planet stems from culture and science fiction, but Musk’s motive is fundamentally driven by a “colonialist view”.

“The difference with him [Musk] is that it is not driven by a scientific reason for the discovery and search for the truth, instead it is a colonizing, imperialist, property value, dominant factor, which I think is terrible. ”

SpaceX did not respond to CNBC’s request for comment.
