The final episode of “Jeopardy!” Alex Trebek, which airs tonight, will conclude with an emotional tribute to the legendary game show host, who died on November 8.
The one-and-a-half-minute package includes clips from his early days on the “Jeopardy!” stage 37 years ago through the modern era with no mustache, showing Trebek in his most charming and playful form – dressed as Kiss’ Gene Simmons and the Statue of Liberty, and chatting humorously with the contestants.
The tribute ends with a dedication to Trebek, “Forever in our Hearts, Always our Inspiration.”

Trebek’s final episodes this week started with him urging viewers to “build a more kind and kind society”. It is like Variety TV critic Daniel D’Addario said that “Trebek’s public grief was not just about the lack of a family presence, or homage to a person who suffers with dignity and stoicism in the public eye. In a media landscape that ultimately rewards attention seeking, Trebek’s ability to act as a glory reflector was rare and special, and will be missed. “
Monday’s episode will begin with a series of tentative guest presenters, beginning with a familiar face and “Jeopardy! The greatest tournament champion of all time, Ken Jennings. In a recent ABC’s press conference “The Chase”, which features Jennings, the curiosity fan said Variety that he is “with the public not wanting to see me or any other invited host around, because in a perfect world, this would be Alex every night, that’s who I want to see”.
“But it is a show with a huge fan base that relies on it every night as a ritual, it is a show that Alex wanted to make sure would survive it,” said Jennings. “So I’m not thrilled about it, but I’m happy to do my part for my country and my game show and fill it out as long as they need someone in the presidency, but it’s a difficult transition.”
