Dancing With The Stars pro Witney Carson became a mother for the first time on January 3.
Revealing the name of her newborn son on Instagram on Wednesday afternoon, the 27-year-old shared Kevin Leo McAllister’s first photo after giving birth by cesarean section.
A healthy boy gracing the hearts of her and her husband Carson McAllister, Witney shared the meaning behind the name by calling it ‘the most precious gift’.

Documenting parts of her work on social media, the Utah native shared that it was not an easy process.

On Tuesday, she posted a video before, during and after her pregnancy, while her four-year-old husband spent his first ’24 hours’ with his’ beautiful and precious boy ‘.

Husband McAllister stood by his wife throughout the delivery, while the two enjoyed their final moments as a family of two.
‘I never loved this man more than now,’ she wrote in a photo with her husband. ‘He’s a real angel.
In the comfort of his hospital bed, Witney shared that he received an epidural to help with pain control.
‘Contractions are a living hell, but the epidural is heaven … so I’m doing great,’ she wrote a photo while Carson massaged her hand.

She first revealed her new pregnancy on July 23, when she posted a photo of herself and Kevin with their ultrasound pictures and a pregnancy test.

Due to her pregnancy, the longtime DWTS pro was unable to participate in the most recent season as she kept her baby’s health in mind.
Witney and Carson were married on January 1, 2016 in a ceremony for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Salt Lake Temple in Salt Lake City and celebrated their five-year anniversary on Friday.
