Parler, the social media platform that was forced off the air by Amazon after the January 6 deadly riot at the United States Capitol, may be back up and running next week, co-owner Dan Bongino told Hannity on Thursday.
“We are filming for Monday,” said Bongino, who is also a contributor to Fox News. “Monday looks good. Fingers crossed.”
Bongino joined presenter Sean Hannity the day after Fox News obtained a memo for employees of former CEO John Matze explaining why he was fired by the company’s board of directors last week.
Matze claimed that he encountered “constant resistance” to his original vision for Parler after Amazon Web Services’ decision to close the platform for failure to moderate “shocking content” related to the Capitol rebellion.
BONGINO RESPONSES COMPLAINTS FROM CEO OUSTED PARLER
“For example, I advocated more product stability and what I believe is a more effective approach to moderating content,” wrote Matze.
Bongino contested Matze’s claims in a Facebook video posted on Wednesday.
“I have no personal complaints against John, the CEO, in any way, I want to be very clear,” he said, “but John decided to make this public, not us. We were dealing with it like gentlemen.
“It was we who, in fact, struggled to bring Parler back. There were some very bad decisions made by insiders, and listen, it’s not us doing dirty laundry. This is protecting a company that is absolutely committed to freedom of expression, I put the last year of my life in. Do you really believe that someone else was on the side of free speech? “
“” The relationship with Parler and the CEO didn’t work out because the CEO’s vision was not ours, “added Bongino later in the video.” Is everyone clear about this? Our vision was crystal clear. We needed to get up and fight, some terrible decisions were made in the past, which led us to be overthrown by Amazon and others. “

A Parler source told Fox News on Thursday that the delay was caused by a new brand and changes within the company in favor of stability.
Parler was widely embraced by Trump supporters and saw an increase in the number of users after the now former president’s permanent suspension last month.
