Damon ‘Snacks’ Harrison ‘finished playing’ for Seahawks

Just before the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angles Rams match started on Sunday, some interesting news emerged about the defensive tackle Damon “Snacks” Harrison.

Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network tweeted the following:

DT Damon ‘Snacks’ Harrison asked for his release after learning that he would be inactive today against the #Rams, and the team plans to grant it next week, according to the sources. Seattle loves Snacks and expects him to change his mind, but it seems like his mind is taken over. He would go on waivers.

Harrison was finally considered inactive on Sunday against the Rams.

Coach Pete Carroll confirmed the scenario on Monday during his radio show on 710 ESPN Seattle.

“Snacks, he decided to stop playing, he stopped playing,” said Carroll. “I talked to him this morning, he is in a good mood and everything, he is very grateful for the opportunity to play here and he did very well with us, but he just did.”

Carroll was hesitant to speculate whether Harrison would consider signing with another team or not, but he just reiterated that his time was up in Seattle.

“It was amazing to have him around,” continued Carroll. “We loved him and I’m sorry to see him go, but we will continue.”
