Dallas nightclub shooting: dead woman, 8 wounded

A 21-year-old woman was killed and eight people were injured after a Saturday morning shootout at a Dallas nightclub, police said.

Police officers responded to an active call from a sniper at about 1:30 am at the Pryme nightclub after a “disturbance” between two groups of people, according to the Dallas Police Department.

An unknown suspect drew a gun and shot the crowd, killing Daisy Navarrete, 21, and sending others to local hospitals. The police did not release the names of the other victims.

Dallas News reporter Kelli Smith posted photos of the scene on Twitter, describing it as “a mess inside, with clothes stained with blood, alcohol and glasses scattered around the club.”

Pryme did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News.

The police did not say what sparked the dispute.
