Dallas House Transformed Into Nintendo Super Mario Bros. 3 for the Holidays – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

There is a jaw-dropping holiday display on Dallas Belmont Avenue that is serving as a kind of time machine for many.

“The answer was exactly what we wanted. People honking their horns, hanging from the window waving at us, ”said Katie Milam. “We wanted to spread joy, foolishness and fun.”

Katie and her husband Mike transformed their home into a giant Nintendo gaming system – complete with a Super Mario Brothers game on a makeshift television screen.

“It had to be Mario 3,” Milam smiled. “We like the classics.”

It served as a great source of joy for dozens of people who came by to take pictures.

“We hope that people passing by with their kids in the car will be able to tell them and that will trigger conversations about childhood memories and ‘I remember when I played Super Mario,'” said Milam. “What if someone is having a bad day. You want them to pass and smile with luck. Bring some joy into people’s lives. “
