Dallas Cowboys’ Kellen Moore agrees with the extension for several years and does not join the Boise State Broncos

Kellen Moore will remain with the Dallas Cowboys, as the club has announced a multi-year extension with the offensive coordinator.

Moore’s contract with Dallas was set to expire after this season, and his alma mater, Boise State, chased him to be his head coach.

Moore said in a statement released by the Cowboys that he was “very excited” to remain with the team.

“I love Boise State. I will always be rooting for them and I hope to one day be part of the program again,” said Moore. “We are building something special here in Dallas. I am grateful to the Jones and Mike McCarthy family for giving me the opportunity to coach these special players. I am excited to put everything together and finish the job.”

Moore, 32, has been the Cowboys’ offensive coordinator since 2019. The job at Boise State was opened last month when Bryan Harsin stepped down to take over as coach at Auburn, replacing the dismissed Gus Malzahn.

In last weekend’s home win against the Philadelphia Eagles, the Cowboys accumulated 513 yards in the offensive total, topping 500 yards for the fourth time this season, drawing the maximum in the team’s history with the 1978, 1966 and 2019 offenses.

Dallas also had three passes of more than 50 yards against the Eagles, mostly by an NFL team this season. In the last three games, the Cowboys ‘attack has contributed 94 of Dallas’ 108 points.
