The 29-year-old rapper left fans confused by releasing a track called Beatbox Freestyle, which appeared to insult the 17-year-old singer.
However, DaBaby has since insisted that he was not trying to criticize JoJo and that the internet misunderstood the meaning behind the lyrics.

Fans quickly turned to social media to mock DaBaby for apparently hitting the teen star.
One user wrote: ‘DaBaby has no reason to call JoJo Siwa like that’, while another said, ‘Of all people for DaBaby to be fighting and he chooses JoJo Siwa ????’
Another added: ‘DaBaby is going to need to explain that JoJo Siwa bar because I’m confused’.

Several others shared hilarious memes mocking rap before DaBaby used Twitter to clarify the meaning behind his rap.
The rapper insisted that the track was not an affront to JoJo, but a play on words, as his real name is Jonathan (‘JoJo’) and he used Siwa as a variation of ‘see why’.
Taking to social media, he wrote: ‘I love Twitter, bruh,’ before sending JoJo a direct message and insisting that he is a big fan and that his daughter loves her too.
DaBaby wrote: ‘@JoJoSiwa my 3 year old princess is your number 1 fan. I bought her all the products you sold. She thinks it’s you.
