While 2020 has caused several delays when it comes to new Disney attractions, 2021 is sure to be a year full of emotions. D23 has posted a list of all the Disney attractions scheduled to open in 2021, in addition to all the Disney Park anniversaries that we should expect. Although we were aware of many of them, it is good to see some confirmation that things are still planned to open in this new year.
Although Disneyland Resort is closed, the Disney California Adventure Avengers Campus is scheduled to open this year. It was expected to open in July 2020, before the COVID-19 pandemic.
At Disneyland Park, we’ve already seen a preview of the renovated Snow White’s Enchanted Wish attraction, reopening this year.
At Walt Disney World, the historic transformation of EPCOT continues, including the opening of the Remy’s adventure in Ratatouille at the flag of France this year. Remy Ratatouille Adventure was also scheduled to debut in the summer of 2020.
The nights are about to get brighter with the addition of the new nighttime extravaganza, Harmonious, one of the biggest night shows ever created, scheduled to debut this year.
At Disneyland Paris, Disney’s Hotel New York is undergoing its biggest renovation ever, an ambitious reinvention that will transform the property into Disney’s Hotel New York – Marvel Art when it reopens this year. It will be the first hotel entirely dedicated to the celebration of Marvel art, with one of the largest publicly visible collections of Marvel artwork in the world.
There is also a new Cars attraction that will arrive at Walt Disney Studios Park this year, where guests will be invited on a trip to discover crazy roadside attractions and local natural wonders while meeting fan favorites Cars characters!
2021 will also mark several landmark birthdays at Disney parks around the world. In October, Walt Disney World Resort will celebrate its golden anniversary – 50 years making magic! D23 will join the excitement with its D23 Collector Set Celebrating 50 Magical Years, which will be included with all new and renewed D23 Gold Memberships in 2021.
Disney California Adventure and Downtown Disney District will be celebrating their 20th anniversary starting this month.
Shanghai Disneyland will be 5 years old in June. Its 5th anniversary logo debuted during New Year’s Eve celebrations in the park.
Hong Kong Disneyland has already started celebrating its 15th anniversary with the debut of the Castle of Magic Dreams and will continue the celebrations in 2021.
