Cyberpunk 2077 patch 1.06 hits Stadia and fixes stuck weapons

Cyberpunk 2077 was one of the most anticipated games of 2020 and, subsequently, one of the biggest messes, befitting the type of year 2020. The latest update to Cyberpunk 2077, patch 1.06, is now available for Stadia players, correcting some of the biggest specific Stadia bugs, including the problem of fixing weapons.

To everyone’s surprise, the version of Cyberpunk 2077 playable on Stadia was surprisingly stable compared to the console ports. That said, the weeks after launch saw a bunch of updates, fixing major and minor issues in the game. Like announced on Twitter, Cyberpunk 2077 patch 1.06 is now available to players on Stadia, having been made available on console and PC platforms on December 23.

Although this delay of almost a month certainly hurts, there seems to be a good reason for that. Some delay in the launch of the Cyberpunk 2077 patch 1.06 Stadia can be explained by the holidays, combined with the Stadia door being managed by another company, QLOC. Most importantly for players, it looks like patch 1.06 includes a number of Stadia-specific bugs.

The biggest one is a fix for the commonly reported problem that would cause V’s weapons to become “stuck” after using a grenade or other device. QLOC also seems to have tracked down some of the flaws that happen at the end of the story.

Missions

  • Dum Dum will no longer disappear from the entrance to Totentanz during Second Conflict.

Stadia specific

  • Improved steering mechanics for story NPCs while V is a passenger.
  • Fixed rare crashes when loading near the end of game saves and repaired some of the previously stopped saves.
  • Weapons should no longer be stuck when using devices (such as grenades) or firing in quick succession.
  • V should no longer be randomly trapped in a Strong Attack position.
  • V should no longer randomly switch to a sprint while crouching forward.
  • Fixed inability to reload weapons or use grenades and consumables.

Of course, since Stadia is cloud-based, you can start playing Cyberpunk 2077 on Patch 1.06 now, without having to wait for updates.
