There is now a mod available that allows you to play Cyberpunk 2077 in third person on the PC, but be warned, although it works in the most basic and functional sense, it is not something you will want to use for a long time.

The mod, created by Jelle Bakker, can be downloaded here. It allows the player to move the camera back Cyberpunk’s standard first-person point of view, and allows you to not only move, but more importantly, admire your third-person outfit.

It’s a little bit of work to get started and requires some separate code to be inserted to … load your head. Once everything is ready, if you keep your movements slow and steady, it can look very good!

If you move faster, or more suddenly, things will look a little less stylish.

This is cool, because if The Witcher 3 (or Grand Theft Auto, or assassins Creed, or Red Dead) showed us something, is that we prefer that our open world games are in third person so that we can see what we are wearing and get a better ground around us.

But it is also not cool because it doesn’t really work, since a lot of Cyberpunk, from its combat to the scenes and animation of the player’s character itself, was designed from the start to be experienced from a first-person perspective, and so this mod is more of an occasional thing, not a completely new way to play the game .

If you want to try it, you can download it on here.
