Cyberpunk 2077 developers may have even more problems, according to the new report

It’s been exactly a month since Cyberpunk 2077 it finally hit stores, but it sure was slow for the CD Projekt Red team. After launching in a bleak state for PlayStation and Xbox consoles, the development studio has been working tirelessly to improve the quality of the game in no time. And now, it appears that CDPR members may be under even greater pressure to ensure that the game reaches a better state in the near future.

According to a new report by the Polish publication Benchmark, the Polish Competition and Consumer Protection Office itself (abbreviated UOKIK) is now interested in the CD Projekt Red and is monitoring the situation with Cyberpunk 2077 quite. As the entity’s name suggests, UOKIK serves the general public in Poland to ensure that consumer interests are taken care of. Although no action has been taken by UOKIK yet, they can do so in the future.

For now, the bureau is just making sure that the CD Projekt Red keeps its promises about the future of Cyberpunk 2077. In the past few weeks, the studio said it would add new updates to the game in the next two months to improve the game’s iterations on the console. If this does not happen as intended, UOKIK can migrate to the CD Projekt Vermelho.

It is important to note that no fines have yet been imposed by UOKIK and there is a chance that it will never do so. That said, if the firm judges that CD Projekt Red has been unfair to consumers in some way and that the promised corrections are not enough to satisfy customer complaints, it can fine the studio a maximum of 10% of its annual revenue. Again, there is a reasonable chance that this will not happen, but it may depend on the actions of CD Projekt Red in the coming weeks and months.

The biggest disadvantage of this whole situation is that it will only put even more stress on the CDPR developers, who are certainly exasperated as they are. In short, this situation has been frustrating to see unfold in many ways, but I hope that Cyberpunk 2077’s quality will continue to improve as we go.
