Vaccines at CVS pharmacies participating in South Carolina it will be available to individuals who meet the state’s eligibility criteria, as well as to teachers and elementary and high school staff and daycare workers. Patients must register in advance at CVS.com or through the CVS Pharmacy app, and people without online access can contact CVS Customer Service: [(800) 746-7287]. Vaccination without prior appointment will not be provided.
The supply for the expanded implantation in the state is obtained directly from the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program. The participating locations of the CVS Pharmacies are in the following counties: Aiken, Anderson, Charleston, Greenville, Greenwood, Horry, Lexington, Richland, and Spartanburg. As more supplies become available, the company will expand to more stores and more South Carolina communities.
The 54 sites in South Carolina are among about 1,200 CVS pharmacy locations in 29 states and Puerto Rico where the company is administering vaccine, including Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Caroline, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Utah, Vermont, and Virginia. The vaccines will eventually be available at CVS pharmacies across the country, subject to product availability, with the capacity to administer 20 to 25 million injections per month.
