Although it should come as no surprise, South Carolina was chosen as a three-star defensive Anthony Rose (Hallandale, Fla./Hallandale), who announced their top three schools in a Twitter post on Saturday afternoon.
The top three appear to be the final three for Rose, who announced earlier this week that she will make her decision on February 23. The Gamecocks have a final seat at the table along with Arizona Wildcats and Penn State.
The Gamecocks, under the head coach of the first year Shane Beamer, has three projections on the 247Sports Crystal Ball for Rose. The confidence level is high, 8 out of 10 for safety, which has a rating of 0.8789 in the 247Sports Composite, making him the No. 404 player in the country.
Defensive defense technician Torrian Gray is the main recruiter for the potential client of Estado do Sol. It would be his first appointment as the main recruiter in his short time with Gamecocks.
“He calls me every day and sends me text messages every day saying he loves my movie,” Rose told Andrew Ivins of 247Sports earlier this week. “He keeps telling me that I am the number one candidate. This is the school that recruits me the most difficult of all.”

Rose, who weighs 1.80 m and 180 pounds, made the call to commit on February 23 because it is the birthday of her mother and coach.
Gamecocks do not yet have an appointment in the 2022 recruiting class. Rose is one of 14 offers for security prospects in the 2022 cycle. According to the 247Sports offer page in South Carolina, Gamecocks has extended 148 offers to the class of 2022 potential customers.
