Andrew Cuomo’s accuser, Lindsey Boylan, reacted quickly on Saturday night after two more women filed complaints of sexual misconduct against the Democratic governor of New York.
“Resign, you disgusting monster,” wrote Boylan on Twitter.
Boylan, 36, a former adviser to Cuomo, was the first accuser to go public, writing an essay on the website Medium last month, in which she quoted Cuomo as saying, “Let’s play strip poker,” among other allegations. Boylan is running as a candidate for president of the Manhattan district in New York City.
Then came complaints from Charlotte Bennett, 25, another former Cuomo advisor, and Anna Ruch, 33, a woman who met Cuomo at a wedding in 2019.

Then, the two new accusers appeared on Saturday.
Karen Hinton, a former Cuomo press officer, described being invited to Cuomo’s hotel room in 2000, when the Democrat was Secretary of Housing and Urban Development for Bill Clinton. Cuomo hugged her, but she walked away and left, he told The Washington Post.
Ana Liss, another former adviser to Cuomo, claimed that the governor touched her inappropriately, kissed her hand and asked questions about her private life. The governor made her feel “just a skirt,” she told The Wall Street Journal.

After Hinton and Liss shared their stories, Boylan tweeted messages of support.
“Thank you, Karen Hinton, for courageously sharing your story of how our boss, one of the most powerful men in the country, used his power to abuse you,” wrote Boylan. “I am sending love to you. I am with you. We are with you.”
Later: “I am very proud of Ana Liss. She is brave and speaks for me too,” wrote Boylan.
“It is extremely destructive that our boss, the New York governor, treated us this way,” added Boylan.
In a note released by the governor regarding the first three complaints, he said: “At work I sometimes think I’m joking and I make jokes that I think are funny. Sometimes I tease people in what I think is a good – natural way. … I now understand that my interactions may have been insensitive or very personal and that some of my comments, given my position, made others feel in ways I never intended. I acknowledge that some of the things I said were misinterpreted as unwanted flirtation. To the extent that someone felt that way, I’m really sorry about that. “
On Saturday, spokesmen for the governor issued the following statements about Hinton and Liss’ claims:
“It didn’t happen,” Cuomo’s spokesman, Peter Ajemian, said of Hinton’s allegations. “Karen Hinton is a well-known antagonist to the governor who is trying to take advantage of this moment to score cheap points with claims made 21 years ago. All women have the right to introduce themselves and tell their story – however, it is also the responsibility of the press to consider self-motivation. This is unwise. “

In response to the denial of Cuomo’s office, Hinton said that “attacking the accuser is the classic handbook for powerful men who try to protect themselves”.
In response to Liss’ account, Cuomo’s spokesman Richard Azzopardi told The Wall Street Journal: “Reporters and photographers covered the governor for 14 years, watching him kiss men and women and pose for photos. At the public reception of the mansion, there are hundreds of people, and he poses for hundreds of photos. That’s what people in politics do. “
