“I lost half the blood in my body and ended up in the hospital needing a blood transfusion,” says the caption. “I have been eating slowly to regain health since then and now I am finally feeling well.”
Hefner writes that she has been a “defender of being natural” after she fell ill and had her implants removed in 2016.
“I should have learned my lesson the first time, but I think the universe keeps sending you the same lesson until you learn it,” she writes.
Fat transfer involves taking fat from one part of the body and grafting it to others, including the breasts and buttocks.
“Our culture is a trap and makes women feel bad about themselves,” writes Hefner. “Movies (84.9% directed by men) make it worse. Social media makes it worse. Ads make it worse. Physically fake people make it worse (I was one of them).”
According to the model, “the way our culture defines beauty makes it impossible to keep up.”
“Women are overly sexualized,” she says. “I know from the worst kind of experience.”
