One of the best-kept secrets of the off-season is that the Michigan Wolverines will be exploring the reinforcement transfer portal in 2021. Much of that focus will come from the defensive side of the ball and a new target has emerged in the form of Lance Dixon, Penn State linebacker.
Dixon, who is a former five-star recruit for 247 Sports, put his name on the portal on Wednesday. His name appeared is noteworthy as he is a former West Bloomfield High School under coach Ron Bellamy, who was recently hired to train wide receivers on Jim Harbaugh’s restarted team. Allen Trieu of 247Sports was quick to place a Crystal Ball for him to eventually land with his former coach and the Wolverines.
Dixon just ended his second college season with Penn State and played nine games last year with a match in his name. He played only three games during his real freshman season in 2019, which means he would have at least three years of eligibility left if he went to Ann Arbor.
