Critical ‘Pioneer Woman’ Nephew, Husband Engaged in Collision with Fire Truck at Rancho Drummond

‘The Pioneer Woman’ nephew and husband Ree Drummond were involved in a collision on Wednesday while fighting a fire at Rancho Drummond, authorities confirmed.

Her nephew, Caleb Drummond, 21, is in the hospital in critical condition and her husband, Ladd Drummond, has had no reported injuries, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.

OHP said that due to strong winds on the grass and gravel, the two vehicles collided head-on and Caleb was ejected from the truck.

The report said Caleb was not wearing a seat belt. He also said that there was no seat belt fitted to Ladd’s fire truck.

Osage County Director of Emergency Management, Jerry Roberts, said that each vehicle had only one fireman and they collided on the driver’s side of each truck. He said the two firefighters are employees of the farm.

Fire crews at Osage Nation said more than 80 hectares were burned.

This is a developing story.
