Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy was considered to be a highly sought after coach who would take over as coach of a team that needed it
But with six out of seven teams hiring a new coach in the past three weeks, Bieniemy remains one of the top assistants on Andy Reid’s team. For Patrick Mahomes, it is “crazy”.

“Yes, it’s kind of crazy, I think that would be the best word to describe him. I mean, see the things that come out and then meet the man he is and the coach he is every day, you don’t understand where he comes from the material, “explained Mahomes.
“You understand how he is an excellent person, an excellent trainer, an excellent leader and, therefore, it is crazy that he did not have the chance to become a main trainer, but I promise that he” I will continue working and improving more and more and continuing to help us, which is positive at the end of the day. I hope it will help us continue to reach those AFC Championship games and more Super Bowls. “
Bieniemy may be in line for the Houston Texans’ work – the only position that is currently open. Texas quarterback Deshaun Watson reportedly was upset that Houston did not immediately interview Bieniemy for the job.

Mahomes was asked if he talked to Watson about Bieniemy.
“I talked to him in the off-season,” said the Chiefs quarterback. “During the season you kind of don’t talk to those guys so much because you’re obviously trying to go out and win football games. Maybe after the season I can send him a message or something, but I kind of just let this thing take care of you same.

“I know that Coach (Eric) Bieniemy did everything the right way and prepared to take any opportunity and if it happens, I am very happy for him and if not, he will continue to work and be a great offensive coordinator for us, so I am I’m happy that he gave me these opportunities to go there and interview and I hope that one of those teams is smart enough to take him to be the head coach of his football team.
