Crackle streaming service to premiere five-part documentary series about Nintendo’s history next month

The Crackle streaming service will premiere a series of documentaries in five parts Playing with Power: Nintendo’s Story on March 1st.

According to Deadline, this series was written and directed by Jeremy Snead and produced (and narrated) by Sean Astin (also known as Samwise’s Lord of the Rings)

It tells the “vast story” of the “secret” Japanese company and includes interviews with individuals such as former Nintendo of America CEO Reggie Fils-Aimé, Xbox chief Phil Spencer, former Sega of America CEO Tom Kalinske, Atari co-founder Nolan Bushnell, NoA co-founder Ron Judy, and more.

Snead has worked on several video game and television film projects and says that producing and directing his latest series has been “a lifelong ambition” as an artist, player and filmmaker.

Astin adds to that – noting how he thinks this five-part journey will “open up the world of video games and this legendary company in a way that most people have never seen” before.

Each episode of Playing with Power: Nintendo’s Story will be available on Crackle early next month. Will you be watching? Leave a comment below.
