Cowboys vs. Eagles score: Michael Gallup leads air strike against Philly, keeps Dallas alive at NFC East

Things were already interesting when this NFC East clash started, but it got even more interesting with the Washington Football Team losing to the Carolina Panthers. With that defeat, the Dallas Cowboys defeated the Philadelphia Eagles – with a final score of 37-17 – keeps them in contention for the division title in Week 17, along with the New York Giants, their opponent in the season finale. The Eagles shot out of the gate at Week 16 and it looked like they had run away with him at AT&T Stadium, but the opposite was the case.

Jalen Hurts was doing damage both on the ground and in the air, making great runs and finding DeSean Jackson for an 81-yard bomb for his second touchdown of the day to increase his lead in the first quarter. It was the last time the Eagles found any reward for the rest of the game, however, the Cowboys retaliated in the second quarter through Andy Dalton’s touchdown play for full-back Michael Gallup after a first 15 minutes of dry football.

From there, the Cowboys went on a tear, torturing the secondary Eagles in the process. Gallup had one day and finished the first half with a second touchdown to give the Cowboys the first advantage of the game, and he was joined in the air attack by Amari Cooper and CeeDee Lamb – the latter finding the final zone both as a receiver and as a running back – as the Eagles found no answer to the Cowboys’ passing attack.

And with that, the Eagles are eliminated from the playoffs dispute and next Sunday is for all marbles in the NFC East. Stay tuned for a full review of this mandatory victory in Arlington, Texas, but follow the blog live below while you wait!
