Cowboys Sign Goodwin, Turner; 4 players dismissed

FRISCO, Texas – The Cowboys continued to approach their special teams on Friday, re-signing wide receiver Malik Turner for a one-year contract.

Turner, 25, was active for six games on special teams last season, posting two tackles. He was a special team player for the 2018-19 Seahawks before joining the Cowboys last September, dismissing the Packers.

Cornerback CJ Goodwin, who agreed to the terms of a new two-year contract earlier this week, also officially signed on Friday. Goodwin has led the Cowboys on special teams in each of the past two seasons.

The Cowboys also dismissed four players who spent time on the training team last season and signed the Reserve / Future list in January: pivot Marcus Henry, tight end Cole Hikutini, wide receiver Jon’Vea Johnson and wide receiver Chris Lacy.
