Faith No More / Mr Bungle frontman Mike Patton is back. Not content with releasing a brutal NSFW video last week to announce the return of his alt.rock supergroup, Tomahawk, the singer also lent his voice for a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge was released by French game developer Dometu today, alongside a trailer in which Patton sings the TMNT theme song. You can watch the trailer below – but what is the game about?
“With Bebop and Rocksteady attacking Channel 6 and stealing supernoded devices to support Krang and Shredder’s latest twisted plan, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge sees Turtles fighting in a fair range of timeless TMNT “explain the developers.
“From Manhattan and Coney Island,” they add, “to the city’s rooftops and wet sewers, help the fearsome infantry quartets, Triceraton warriors and rock troops to the X dimension!”
They continue in this animated way, saying, “Enjoy pixel art graphics in stunning colors and a vintage TMNT vibe that will take you back to the incredible 80s.
“Each character, vehicle, weapon, item and background is directly inspired by the 1987 TV show, making you feel like you’ve jumped on television – with a mix of killer humor and action-packed adventures!”
A release date for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge has not yet been announced, but you can add the game to your Steam wish list.
