COVID vaccine updates: 1 dose of effective AstraZeneca vaccine, UK study shows

NEW YORK (WABC) – A new study shows that just one dose of the AstraZeneca COVID vaccine slows the spread of the virus and still gives the patient a high level of protection for 12 weeks.

Britain’s health chief made the announcement on Wednesday morning.

The study was done by the University of Oxford.

This is because the UK government is under pressure for its strategy of postponing the second injection so that more doses can be administered to more people.
