COVID vaccine eligibility expands today in Louisiana. See where to make an appointment | Coronavirus

The eligibility of the COVID-19 vaccine is expanding again in Louisiana.

Governor John Bel Edwards announced the expanded rules last week. They take effect on Monday, March 22.

The new requirements cover essential jobs, including workers in supermarkets, post offices and waste management.

Although many have complained about everything they lost in the past year, it seems that June DeVall could outdo anyone.

More than 1.5 million doses of vaccine have been administered in Louisiana. Nearly 600,000 people are fully vaccinated across the state.

The Louisiana Department of Health is expected to release updated vaccine numbers at noon on Monday.

Whoever wants to get the vaccine should schedule an appointment, either at a private pharmacy or through a mass vaccination event.
