More than 20,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were administered again in Utah on Friday, according to the Department of Health – which also reported an additional 5 coronavirus-related deaths.

Deaths reported on Friday are • Three women died – one over 85 in Salt Lake County; one over 85 in Millard County and one between 45 and 64 in Tooele County. Two men also died, both aged 45 to 64 – one in Weber County and one in Uintah County.
Hospitalizations reported the previous day • 335. That is 14 below Friday. Of those currently hospitalized, 123 are in intensive care units – six more than on Friday.
Tests reported the day before • 8,264.
Percentage of positive tests • 14.04%. This is slightly less than the 16.2% seven-day average.
Totals to date • 353,700 boxes; 1,733 deaths; 13,828 hospitalizations; 2,070,190 people tested.
