COVID NYC update: party with 300 people closed in Jackson Heights, Queens

NEW YORK CITY (WABC) – Authorities closed a party at an unlicensed bar in Queens that had more than 300 people inside.

New York sheriff’s office delegates interrupted the party at about 2:25 am on Sunday in a building on Junction Boulevard near 35th Avenue in Jackson Heights.

Images posted on Twitter by the sheriff show a club atmosphere inside the building with dozens of people not adhering to social distance and not wearing masks.

According to the delegate, the operators were cited for violating emergency orders and health code, in addition to not having a license for alcoholic beverages.

In addition, five people have been charged with various misdemeanors.

And the police closed four graduates.
