COVID-19 vaccines hitting Walmart, Publix and Winn-Dixie stores in South Florida

FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida. – The federal pharmaceutical retail program will expand floridians’ vaccination options, with injections targeted at Walmart, Sam’s Club and Winn-Dixie stores, in addition to more Publix stores.

The federal program is sending 1 million doses nationwide, including about 40,000 to grocery pharmacies in Florida. This adds to the 325,000 doses already allocated to Florida by the federal government.

Scheduling is mandatory in each location and can be done on the websites of pharmacies. Patients must meet state eligibility requirements and be 65 years of age or older or be frontline healthcare professionals.

Below are details about the pharmacies that receive injections in South Florida. (Information is subject to change and availability. Check the websites listed for the latest details.)

Miami-Dade and Monroe are among the counties on the state’s list for distribution in Winn-Dixies. Broward does not.
