COVID-19 vaccine registration suspended for one month in Genesee County

FLINT, Michigan (WJRT) – Online applications to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in Genesee County will not begin until one month.

The Genesee County Health Department says the online registration for nominations for the COVID-19 vaccine will not be open until at least February 7. The county is still waiting for additional vaccines before they can start Phase 1B, which includes anyone aged 65 and over and critical occupations, such as first aid and teachers.

Consultations will be available on the health department’s scheduling website as soon as Genesee County receives more doses of vaccine.

State health officials recommend people interested in obtaining the vaccine monitor from the Michigan COVID-19 vaccine website, rather than calling the local health department for updates on when it will be available.
