COVID-19 vaccine distribution expands to 42 Publix pharmacies in South Carolina

LAKELAND, Florida – (BUSINESS WIRE) – Publix is ​​collaborating with the state of South Carolina to distribute COVID-19 vaccines to 42 Publix pharmacies in the state. Following South Carolina guidelines, vaccines can be administered to health care professionals, individuals aged 70 and over, residents and employees of long-term care facilities and South Carolina state / local government employees and contractors who are essential to the administration of COVID-19 vaccinations and tests.

Vaccines are provided by appointment only. Eligible individuals can book appointments starting on Tuesday, January 19th, using the online booking system at publix.com/covidvaccine, with vaccinations starting on Wednesday, January 20th.

Vaccines are administered to eligible individuals, only by appointment, while supplies last, and at no cost to the individual. Health insurance customers will need to bring their insurance card for the scheduled appointment. Medicare members must bring their red, white and blue Medicare Part B card. Customers without health insurance will need to provide their driver’s license or Social Security number.
