COVID-19 Statistics | February 25, 2021 | Lost Coast Outpost

Press release from the Humboldt County Joint Information Center:

Ten additional cases of COVID-19 were reported today. A previously reported case was determined to be out of jurisdiction, so the total number of Humboldt County residents who tested positive for the virus now stands at 3,160.

Humboldt County received a total of 4,740 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine – 2,400 Modern and 2,340 Pfizer – for the next week. Public Health is planning to administer at least 405 second doses and 996 first doses in large-scale vaccination clinics in collaboration with local health providers. The remaining doses will be distributed to other approved local vaccinators.

Currently, people aged 70 and over, health professionals, emergency service workers, licensed child care providers, K-12 educators and support staff have priority for vaccination. Planning is underway for higher education, as well as for food and agriculture. Vaccination appointments are for guests only. County residents can apply to be notified when an appointment is available for their age group by completing the COVID-19 Vaccine Interest Form online.
