Press release from the Humboldt County Joint Information Center:

An 18º The resident of Humboldt County died after a positive test for COVID-19, and 45 additional cases of the virus have been confirmed since the most recent report on Wednesday. The total number of county residents who tested positive for the virus is now 1,584.

The person who died was about 90 years old and a resident of the Granada Rehabilitation and Wellness Center. Humboldt County Health Officer Dr. Ian Hoffman said Public Health extends its condolences to the families and friends of people who have lost loved ones to the virus.
