Humboldt County received 4,640 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine for the next week from the state of California. This is a reduction of 2,270 doses from the previous week’s allocation.
Of these doses, 1,700 are Modern, 2,340 are Pfizer and 600 are Johnson & Johnson. Humboldt County Public Health will use 1,510 doses of Moderna and 930 from Pfizer at five large-scale vaccination clinics planned for next week. The remaining doses will be distributed to other approved local vaccinators.
The state is requiring counties to transition to a new system called My Turn to register and schedule vaccination appointments as they become available. Access the system at myturn.ca.gov. More information on local implementation will be released next week.

A total of 3,492 Humboldt County residents tested positive for COVID-19 after three new cases were reported today.
