COVID-19 reported in all 46 South Carolina counties

SOUTH CAROLINA (WRDW / WAGT) – The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control today reported 261 additional cases of COVID-19. This brings the total number of cases across the state to 1,554 in all 46 counties.

“There are now documented cases of COVID-19 in every county in our state,” said Dr. Brannon Traxler, a DHEC physician, in the statement. “The level at which it continues to spread will depend on all of our actions. your part and stay at home and limit your close contact with others. “

According to the statement, the agency also announced five additional deaths related to COVID-19. Deaths occurred in the elderly who had underlying health problems. Two were residents of Florence County, one from Anderson County, one from Horry County and one from Sumter County.

Thus, the total number of deaths in the state is 31.
