Tyler Rich is opening up about the harrowing experience of finding a dead man’s body while running.
The 34-year-old country singer went on Twitter on Friday to discuss how his 2020 ended with the shock of finding a corpse in a wooded area.
In a statement, Rich said he was 2.5 miles from his run at Chicopee State Park in Massachusetts when he “crossed a dam” and was “looking for a way to cut the hill back on track”.
“I then saw what I thought was a young homeless man sleeping. He was on his stomach and had a bag tied around his feet and was on his stomach. … After running around him, I felt bad for him, he was sleeping on his stomach and looked like he was in a bad place, “wrote Rich.

The singer said he then turned to check on the man and realized that he was not breathing.
“When I get in front of him, all I see is a lifeless face covered in blood. Everywhere. It looked like maybe a shot, or brute force. Right now I freak out and run uphill to try to find someone with a phone to call. call the police, “he said.

Rich went on to say that he called the police. After arriving at the scene, authorities discovered a gun in the hands of one of the deceased’s hands, he said.
“It could potentially have been a suicide,” said Rich. “Not that there is any kind of thing that could help me deal with finding him like this.”

Rich went on to call the next 24 hours “rude”.
“Not the way I planned to close 2020. This will be an image and a moment that I will never forget. I need to shout out the first aid and our military that look death in the eye every day and are able to continue to live their daily lives,” he tweeted.
On Saturday, the country star revealed that he has since spoken to the victim’s mother and was divided over the similarities she had with him.

“I don’t think anyone in the area could have found him who understood him as I did. I really feel like this was meant to be. I would like to meet him, have a beer with him and talk about what was hurting him so much. I’m devastated with it and didn’t even know him, ”wrote Rich.
