Country star Tyler Rich was shocked to discover the body of a dead man during his two-mile race in Massachusetts State Park on New Year’s Eve.
And now the 34-year-old singer says he believes he was led to the tragic discovery by the spirit of the dead man.
In a long text post shared on Instagram on Saturday, he revealed that a conversation with the dead man’s mother led him to think that his tragic date was fate.

“Still reflecting on this constant feeling that I was in that random part of the park at the exact time I was supposed to be, to find that young man,” he started. ‘There are a lot of coincidences that really make me believe that he took me to where he was.’
The musician revealed that he found the body around noon on New Year’s Eve.
‘About 30 minutes later, I looked at my watch. My running app stopped as soon as I stopped and found it, and it said that my average pace at that time was 11:11 am, ”he continued. ‘I told the police and the couple who gave me the phone, to look at my watch, and that maybe that was a good omen.’
Afterwards, Rich felt compelled to share the information with the dead person’s mother.
‘Yesterday, I spoke to his sweet mother, which was one of the most difficult things I remember. We talked about the timeline and the series of events. She said the last message he sent was at 11:11 am [sic]. And I found him just 45 minutes later, ‘he explained.
Significant? Rich wrote that he found the man’s body at noon on New Year’s Eve and that his running application had stopped at 11:11 am, which he considered “a good omen”

For him, the discovery of the body was a destination and not just a horrible tragedy.
‘I really believe that his spirit took me over that random side of the mountain to find him,’ he wrote.
Rich described 11:11 as an indication that ‘the angels are with you’ and that it is time to ‘wish for what you want. To feel at ease. That the universe is on your side. ‘
The number was also significant for him because of his 11:11 song, which is ‘about loss’.
“So, whenever I see those numbers, it resonates with me,” he continued.

The Difference singer suggested that the dead man’s family was also comforted by his theories.
“This specific series of small events is somehow bringing comfort to this family and myself,” he concluded.

“The community is so important, remember to tell people how much you love them and remember to talk to someone, anyone, when you are feeling lost and alone, because you are not,” he wrote.

Rich had already opened up on Friday about his ‘tough 24 hours’ after discovering the body unexpectedly.

Still shaken, he explained that he was “quite far from where anyone else would be running” in a densely wooded area, before saying that he thought he saw a ‘young homeless man’ sleeping.

He then meets a couple about 30 meters away and uses the phone to contact the authorities and ends up spending hours making statements to state police, FBI, local police and detectives.
