Country singer Taylor Dee killed in Texas rollover accident

A promising country singer died in a rollover accident in Texas earlier this month, authorities confirmed on Monday.

Taylor Dee, 33, a well-known musician from North Texas, was considered on her way to stardom when she was killed in the March 14 shipwreck in Euless, according to a press release.

Linda Wilson, president of the Texas Country Music Association, said that Dee’s death shocked the local music community.

“Taylor Dee was the real deal – a real talent with a heart and passion not just for his music, but for people,” Wilson told Texas Newsroom.

“In each performance, her talent was evident, but most importantly, she allowed her fans to get to know her heart. She will be sorely missed, ”said Wilson.

She left two young children – a son, Vayden, and a daughter, River.

Dee, whose legal name was Taylor Dawn Carroll, drove a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer heading east on the 183 State Highway toll road around 10:30 pm on the night of the accident, Euless police said.

She tried to take the exit for Highway 360, but is believed to have lost the turn for a fraction of a second, according to the local agency KTVT.

His SUV hit a barrier and rolled sideways, hitting a light overhead.

Dee, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time, was ejected from the vehicle, police said.

A passenger in the truck, wearing a seat belt, broke his toe and recovered fully.

The accident is still under investigation.

Police said it was possible that alcohol had delayed Dee’s reaction time, causing her to miss the turn. The Tarrant County medical examiner’s office was conducting a toxicology test.

Friends and family said she was always a music lover. Their first single, “The Buzz”, was released in June 2019 and was saving time on several local radio stations.
