That is Nanny McPhee for you. Netflix on Wednesday announced that Country Comfort, a new sitcom in which Katharine McPhee is hired to look after Eddie Cibrian’s children, will launch its first 10-episode season on Friday, March 19.
According to the series’ official description, “When her career and personal life derail, a young aspiring country singer named Bailey (McPhee) takes a job as a nanny to a hefty cowboy named Beau (Cibrian) and his five children. With an attitude of never giving up and a lot of southern charm, this new nanny is able to navigate the family dynamics and be the mother figure she missed. To her surprise, Bailey also won the band she was missing out on in this musically talented family that helped her return to stardom. “
Best known for being second (damn, Taylor Hicks!) In american idolin McPhee’s fifth season, he also had several memorable TV roles, including Karen Cartwright on the NBC show Smash and Paige Dineen at CBS ‘ Scorpion.
In addition to McPhee and Cibrian, Country Comfort it also stars Ricardo Hurtado, Shiloh Verrico, Jamie Martin Mann, Griffin McIntyre, Pyper Braun, Janet Varney and Eric Balfour.
