Original Story: TOMPKINS COUNTY, NY – The Tompkins County Health Department has announced two additional COVID-19 deaths in the county, as well as the highest number of single-day positive tests reported to date.
There have already been 21 deaths in Tompkins County by COVID-19 since the pandemic began. Although the deaths were initially reported to have occurred at the Oak Hill Manor Health House, it has now been confirmed that it was incorrect information from the Tompkins County Health Department.
Tompkins County also reported 62 new cases, the largest single day of positive coronavirus tests since the pandemic began in March. There are 17 people hospitalized with active cases of COVID-19 and 295 active cases in total.
