The Oregon Health Authority on Monday announced 178 new cases of coronavirus and two deaths.
Where new cases are by county: Baker (1), Benton (5), Clackamas (20), Coos (13), Curry (1), Deschutes (2), Douglas (5), Harney (1), Jackson (22), Jefferson (2), Josephine (3), Klamath (11), Lane (10), Lincoln (1), Linn (1), Marion (7), Multnomah (36), Polk (4), Washington (32) and Yamhill (1).
Who died: The death of 2,323 COVID-19 in Oregon was caused by a 69-year-old woman from Columbia County who tested positive on February 19 and died on March 2.

Each person had underlying health conditions or state officials were working to determine whether the person had underlying medical conditions. Authorities are also confirming the locations of the deaths.
The prevalence of infections: On Monday, the state reported 202 new positive tests out of 6,933 tests performed, equaling a positive rate of 2.9%.
Who was infected: New confirmed or presumed infections grew between the following age groups between Friday and Monday: 0-9 (30); 10-19 (112); 20-29 (123); 30-39 (125); 40-49 (129); 50-59 (95); 60-69 (68); 70-79 (49); 80 and older (19).
Who is in the hospital: The state reported that 118 people were hospitalized with a confirmed case of COVID-19, which is 18 more than Sunday’s number. There were 23 patients with COVID-19 in intensive care unit (ICU) beds, two more than in similar care on Sunday.
Vaccines administered: Oregon administered 1,346,090 first and second doses until Monday. The state reported 24,077 new doses. Of those vaccines, 13,529 doses were administered on Sunday and 10,548 were administered in the previous days, but entered the system on Sunday.
Since it started: Oregon reported 159,788 confirmed or suspected infections and 2,234 deaths, among the lowest per capita numbers in the country. To date, the state has reported 3,970,707 test lab reports
