Vaccine administration remains delayed in Oregon, as well as across the country. State health officials said 190,500 doses were delivered throughout Oregon. However, only 45,295 doses have been administered, which means that about 76% of the vaccines distributed have not yet been administered.
The correction department told the team this week that it had administered 400 doses of the Moderna vaccine. Further rounds of vaccination will not begin until Jan. 11 because of vaccine delivery schedules, the department said.
The Oregon Health Authority said that across the state it registered 880 doses of vaccine administered on Friday, including 419 doses administered on Friday and 461 previous vaccines that had not yet been registered. All vaccinations took place in hospitals, long-term care facilities, EMS agencies, urgent care facilities and local health departments, the agency said.
