Contract details for Troy Hill reveal that the Browns closed a bargain

Browns fans must be very excited to bring the cornerback Troy Hill. Former Rams CB agreed with the Browns on Thursday to take control of the team. And a good deal just got better for the Browns.

The terms of the agreement are much more favorable to the Browns than initially reported. What was reported as a four-year deal for $ 24 million by some sources it is in fact not accurate.

By Mary Kay Cabot of cleveland.com, Hill signed for two years, not four, although there are two voidable seasons at the end of the contract. Instead of $ 24 million, it’s just $ 9 million with the chance to increase to $ 10 million. A total of $ 4 million is guaranteed to Hill at the time of signing.

The transaction has not yet been officially processed, so the reported numbers may change again. But hitting a very good starting slot curve for $ 4.5 million a season is a business home run for Browns GM, Andrew Berry and the finance team.
