Conservative politicians and personalities are switching to the Parler social media app after Twitter permanently banned President Trump’s account on Friday.
“It looks like @parler_app’s servers are overloaded by people leaving @Twitter. Good luck, guys, keep fighting for free speech!” Brad Parscale, former Trump campaign manager, applauded.

Parscale later wrote: “If @google bans @parler_app congress acts. It’s not right. This is control, nothing more. A company has a choice of who its customers are, Twitter is right. However, those who control the access to our current technology blocking those who differ from them is wrong! “
“Now, Apple and Google are threatening to ban Parler to prevent people from using any alternative platform. They are creating a monopoly,” warned Candace Owens, founder of BLEXIT. “They DO NOT want IDEAS or CONVERSATIONS that they are not able to control. They do not want conservatives to communicate with each other.”

“You cannot censor 75 million Americans. This is crazy,” added Owens.
Others promoted their Parler accounts and urged their Twitter followers to join them.
“Parler: @CawthornforNC,” Rep. Madison Cawthorn, RN.C., tweeted with American flags.
“I suspended my own Twitter account in protest against Twitter’s fascism. I ask all of my followers to join me now on Parler and Rumble,” wrote Mark Levin, a unionized radio personality and Fox News presenter.
“Reminder: I am also on #ParlerAPP if you are increasingly concerned about #Freedom and #FreeSpeech in America,” wrote GOP commentator Paris Dennard.

“THIS IS MY LAST TWEET! Join me on @parler_app! (That’s if they’re not overwhelmed with new users or banned by Apple.)” Wrote radio announcer Mark Kaye.
“Are you at Parler? Join me and sign my page!” pro-Trump commentator Madison Gesiotto exclaimed.
Following Trump’s brief suspension following the violence that occurred on Capitol Hill on Wednesday, Twitter announced late on Friday that the president will no longer be able to tweet.
“After a detailed analysis of recent tweets from the @realDonaldTrump account and the context around them – specifically how they are being received and interpreted on and off Twitter – we have permanently suspended the account due to the risk of further incitement to violence,” says the company wrote in a blog post.

Twitter highlighted two posts from the president on Friday, one of which only confirmed that he would not attend the appointment of president-elect Joe Biden on January 20.
