The Atlanta real estate investment firm Branch Properties acquired a nine-acre development site in Moncks Corner, SC. The company plans to develop a new 75,267 square foot shopping center anchored in Publix on site, which will be called the Moncks Corner Marketplace.

Located at the corner of US Highway 52 and Cypress Gardens Road, the center will be anchored by a 48,387 square foot Publix supermarket. In addition, the center will consist of 26,880 square feet of retail stores and restaurants. The population of Moncks Corner has grown by 25% in the past five years and remains the fourth fastest growing city in the state of South Carolina.

“This development is a continuation of our company’s dedication to identifying well-located locations for Publix that serve the local community,” said Jesse Shannon, Branch Investment Director. “As Moncks Corner continues to attract new residents, we believe the Moncks Corner Marketplace will become the dominant grocery store, stores and dining options in the city.”
