Second Amendment defender Lauren Boebert is facing criticism for tweeting about Joe Biden’s “lid” as dozens of police officers rushed into a Colorado grocery store shootout.
Police tweeted an active sniper alert in Boulder just before 3 pm local time, with a video showing a man in handcuffs, shirtless and covered in blood, escorted out of the building about 30 minutes later.
“The White House closed at 1:13 pm today. Biden is back in the basement, at least figuratively, ”tweeted Boebert.
“Meanwhile, the country is in chaos and the border is fragmenting.”
The tweet, which had 6,500 likes, had 2,500 comments that focused heavily at the time of his criticisms of Joe Biden’s daily schedule.
“Hey, any comments on the people shot in Boulder while shopping?” asked a user.
Boebert commented on the shooting shortly after reports began to emerge, posting in his personal and government accounts to report the shootings.
“My prayers are with buyers, employees, rescuers and others affected by the Boulder shooting,” she said. “While we are still awaiting important information and details in this case, random public shootings and senseless violence are never ok.”
This happens after Boebert struck back at Twitter critics about his joke about Biden’s downfall when he climbed the stairs of Air Force One.
“Yesterday, I put all my weapons up there,” she wrote on Twitter, adding: “Biden will never be able to get them now!”
Without understanding the main point, his political opponents created the hashtag #LaurenBoebertIsSoDumb to, as one user said, “she hid her weapons and told the world where they were”
In response, Boebert said the hashtag is an example of misogyny among Democrats who hate women.
“Seeing the #LaurenBoebertIsSoDumb trend in the first place just proves what I’ve been saying all week. The left hates women and I am its main target, ”she said in a tweet.
