Concha calls the NY Times for serving as ‘extension’ of administrator Biden with a report on the president’s faith

“It is funny how we are now classifying presidents based on the majority of ‘religious observers’,” Fox News contributor Joe Concha said on Monday, comparing him to a ranking of the best defenders to play in the Super Bowl.

His comments came after the New York Times described President Biden as “perhaps the most religious commander-in-chief in half a century” in an article published on Saturday. The play was rejected by conservatives, who were quick to point out former presidents George W. Bush and Jimmy Carter for their open faith.

NYTIMES RIPPED FOR LABELING BIDEN ‘MOST RELIGIOUSLY OBSERVING’ PRESIDENT IN 50 YEARS

“It is another example of The New York Times not serving as journalists, but basically as an extension of the Biden government’s communications team,” Concha told Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom”.

“Because, remember, this is not an opinion piece. If it is an opinion piece, we probably won’t even be having this conversation.”

Concha said the “direct news” focused on Biden’s faith rather than Carter, “who was the last pro-life Democratic president,” or Bush, who talked a lot about his faith “when he was on the podium.”

“I don’t think that should be the role of The New York Times in its direct news section,” added Concha.

He questioned whether Biden’s policies justified the “religious observer” label.

“If he is so deeply religious and has these convictions, how does that fit with him supporting taxpayer-funded abortions?” Asked Concha.

He pointed to Carter, who said during his presidency and still in 2019, that the Democratic Party needs to change its platform and support abortion only in cases of rape, incest or if the mother is in danger of life.

“This is supporting words with actions,” said Concha of Carter. “With Joe Biden, he doesn’t do that in terms of his policies if you start to mention how deeply religious he is.”
