COLUMBIA – The Columbia VA Health Care System is offering COVID-19 injections to veterans aged 65 and over during a mass vaccination clinic on February 15.

It is open to veterans from across the state who meet age requirements.

The goal of the President’s Day event, which will take place from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, is to vaccinate more than 1,500 veterinarians.

Appointments are mandatory. The University of South Carolina offered Colonial Life Arena, 801 Lincoln St., to host the event.

Columbia VA is contacting those who qualify, or veterans can call the vaccine hotline at 1-800-776-4000, extension 2873 (CURE), to schedule an appointment.

Participants must park in one of the three main parking lots at Colonial Life Arena, at the intersection of Lincoln and Devine streets.
