Carson Wentz wore the no. 11 in the state of North Dakota. He also used it in his five seasons with the Eagles.
But apparently he will have to choose a new number with the Colts in 2021.
Indianapolis wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. took 11th place as a rookie in 2020 and does not plan to give up in 2021 telling TMZ Sports: “I am No. 11” and “I don’t think there is an agreement that is going to be made. “
But apparently there are no hard feelings between the wide receiver and its new QB.
“I talked to [Carson] and he was seeing how I was stuck at No. 11, and I told him I was stuck – and he said, ‘This is cool, man, because I’m probably going to switch anyway,’ ”said Pittman. “He asked me with great respect and I just appreciated him for it. I think he’s a great guy, because a lot of guys with his status, they came and demanded and things like that. “
Pittman managed 40 passes for 503 yards with a touchdown in 13 games during his debut season. He added that he is looking forward to getting Wentz to start receiving passes from his team’s new defender.
The deal that will send Wentz from Philadelphia to Indianapolis will be official at the start of the new league year on March 17.
